I hope you are having a great Thanksgiving so far. It is a beautiful day in Denver and we just ran the annual Turkey Trot - a 4-Mile run for United Way - both kids beat me this year..... Next on my list - I am baking my traditional "Grandma's Cranberry Bread", a food I cannot live without on Thanksgiving. Every year I dig out the tattered recipe from my grandmother, stained, taped and missing a few sections, written on the back of an estimate sheet from my Grandfather's construction business, which I think was out of business before I was born. I bake it and can barely get it out of the oven before I am tasting! I did have a moment of pause a few years ago, when I noticed that our famous family recipe was the same one that is on the back of the bag of Ocean Spray cranberries (as is Gram's brownie recipe on the box of unsweetened chocolate!). No matter! it still tastes great even though Gram shared her secret recipes with the world!
We would love to hear about your favorite family recipe!
